The Knack
October 19, 2009 No CommentsIt seems like these days I am reading a lot of books in an effort to improve my business. You see I am always looking to read and learn from people who have done the things that I want to do or who have made the mistakes.
I first read about Norman Brodsky the founder of CitiStorage in another book, if I remember correctly that book was E-myth Revised.
I was intrigued at how he built his business from the ground up, almost lost it and then saved it. He talks about the mistakes he made and why. He talks about the growth of a business and how money coming in doesn’t necessarily equal success and staying power.
His view on how to build a business is insightful, and the lessons he teaches as he helps people succeed are wonderful. One of the things he talks about is going after the small fish and building your business long term success upon them. If you have the big fish and 50% your business is built upon them and they go someplace else, your business is 50% less the next day; that can put you out of business.
I would recommend this book as basic reading for anybody looking to grow their business or if they are just getting started it is a must read.
