Are you ready if an opportunity comes your way? Are you prepared to see an opportunity and take it when it is placed in your hands?
Opportunities to makes lots of money only come along maybe two or three times in one life. Look at those who saw the vision in say NuSkin in the beginning or any one of another number of network marketing companies. The early ones made lots of money while those who got in later made less. Why because they saw the vision and ran with it. They didn’t let the fear of the unknown stop them.
Lets take a look at a deal I am working on right now. I had been watching a particular laundromat for sometime. Then one day, I notice that the lights were off so I made a call to an equipment distributor I knew had dealings with the owner. My hunch was right, something was up.
The current laundry owner had walked away and the previous owner was getting it back and didn’t want it. So I called the owner, made an appointment, we sat and talked, and the deal is done except for a few details.
To complete the deal, we are going to do a few things that the person off the street wouldn’t think of. Why, because I had spent my time studying and preparing, I was looking for an opportunity, and while looking for an opportunity I found one.
You can too.

In business many time we get tied up with trying to do to many things at once. Multi-Tasking is not always the answer sometimes it is better to delegate the work to others to do. The video below is an example of being stupid.

Turn Any Page Into A Capture Page
Filed under: Business Development, Networking, Sales, Software; Tagged as: Affliate Programs, Business Development, Networking, SalesNo CommentsI came across a neat little widget that will turn any page into a capture page. Check out the link on the right side or click on business opportunities at the top.
The biggest problem when you have a web page is being able to capture information from visiting your website. This neat little widget turns any page into a capture page. It works great on Facebook Pages, Twitter Pages and more.
The neat little thing is that you can become an affiliate with the company and earn income while at the same time capturing information from those who visit your sites

Virtual Assistants
Filed under: Business Development, Networking, Street Smarts; Tagged as: Business Development, Virtual AssistantNo CommentsAs your business begins to grow, you may find yourself being stretched thinner on time and sleep. I know that I did as my businesses began to grow and before to long I was down to 4-5 hours a sleep at night. Projects weren’t getting done on time, clients weren’t happy and frankly my family wasn’t happy either, I spent all my time working.
I then stumbled across the idea of Virtual Assistants, this interested me, need I say, BIG time. I saw it as a way to free up some time and get back to growing my business and get out from behind the desk and a way to get my family life back in balance. I have to admit though that I still spend way to much time behind the desk, I’m a hands on person and have a hard time giving up control.
So if you haven’t consider a Virtual Assistant maybe now is the time.

There are many Virtual Assistants out there but one I like to follow is Go2Girls at there blog

Seth Godin – Consistent, persistent generosity
Filed under: Business Development, Personal Development; Tagged as: Business Development, Personal Development, Seth GodinNo CommentsThe below is so key in building a business that I just had to post it here. I took it from a Seth Godin post at his blog.
“Consistent as in not stopping to say, “my turn.” Persistent as in long-lasting, not as in annoyingly over the top. And with permission, because interacting without delivering anticipated, personal and relevant messages is a waste at best, annoying at worst.”

The Knack
Filed under: Books, Business Development, Street Smarts; Tagged as: Books, Business Development, Citi Storage, Norman BrodskyNo CommentsIt seems like these days I am reading a lot of books in an effort to improve my business. You see I am always looking to read and learn from people who have done the things that I want to do or who have made the mistakes.
I first read about Norman Brodsky the founder of CitiStorage in another book, if I remember correctly that book was E-myth Revised.
I was intrigued at how he built his business from the ground up, almost lost it and then saved it. He talks about the mistakes he made and why. He talks about the growth of a business and how money coming in doesn’t necessarily equal success and staying power.
His view on how to build a business is insightful, and the lessons he teaches as he helps people succeed are wonderful. One of the things he talks about is going after the small fish and building your business long term success upon them. If you have the big fish and 50% your business is built upon them and they go someplace else, your business is 50% less the next day; that can put you out of business.
I would recommend this book as basic reading for anybody looking to grow their business or if they are just getting started it is a must read.

I got a great little book today from a friend that I just met a couple of weeks ago. The book is titled “The Watermelon Sale, a story with heart”. The author of the book is Kevin Allen.
Kevin Allen is a master sales man, marketer and net-worker. He is one of those who gets a call to evaluate a product, set up a marketing program, train the sales people, and set up the networking opportunity. As a distinction he has specialized in network marketing for over 20 years.
The lesson taught in this book we all know and have experienced. The lesson is taught to us in the form of a story about a Scoutmaster and the boys he works with. The Scoutmaster in this story is a master salesman and he would tell the boys, “We are all salesman, no matter what we do or become, so let’s be as good at it as possible.”
The watermelon sale involves giving the people a taste of the heart of the watermelon, the most succulent part of the melon and then telling them they can have the rest of the melon for a price. The point is we must sell the heart of whatever it is he have, not the differences or the trinkets but the heart. If we sell the heart they will buy.
The trick to often is find out what the heart is and sell it.

Google Wave = Very Neat
Filed under: Business Development, Software; No CommentsI came across this in an article the other day that I was reading trying to figure out a way to better communicate with our customers.
Google Wave is mix between, email, social network, instant messaging and so much more. It is real time collaboration at its best. Currently google wave is no..t available to the public, it is in trial mode and you have to request to be access the project and then be invited.
There is a video of the presentation, it long over an hour but is well worth the watch. I personally can’t wait to try it.
