    Many people hear the word network marketing and the first thing they think of is having to sell their friend something they don’t really want.

    If that is your concept of network marketing then you have been taught wrong or not at all.

    Network Marketing is about building relationships of trust with people it is NOT about selling a product or business opportunity.

    Once you have a relationship of trust built, then and only then can you introduce them to a product, business opportunity or whatever else it may be for that matter.

    Because you have taken the time to build a relationship of trust, they will be more inclined to listen to what you have a say.

    So go out and build relationships and watch your business grow.

    Image of Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion

    Recently, Saturday that was, I picked up a book called titled “Crush It”.  It is a book that I’ve been wanting to to take a look at for sometime.  I first came to my attention when it was mentioned by Real Estate speaker and motivator Tom Ferry.

    Just a side note, Tom Ferry has some really good content, for everybody. You can Check him out here.

    The book is written by Gary Vaynerchuck, don’t ask me how to pronounce it. Even though I’m speak multiple languages, I’m not fluent in Russian. The fact that I speak multiple languages is probably apparent it in my spelling and grammar, never been one of my strong points.

    In the book he makes some very good points about being passionate at what you are doing and if you don’t have passion don’t do it. Read the rest of this entry »

    Here is an excerpt from a post by Randy Gage I think is apropo today. You can read the entire post here.

    To stay broke in today’s economy, you have to:

    1.    Turn down the opportunity to join a network marketing business;
    2.    Join a network marketing business, but refuse to take the actions that create success;
    3.    Believe you have no knowledge, skills, or experience people would pay you for in an information entrepreneur business;
    4.    Become an information entrepreneur, but price your products and services so low that you don’t make money.
    5.    Refuse to stop relying on a job and go into business for yourself;
    6. Not be willing to learn how to prosper in the current real estate market;
    7. Not be willing to learn how to prosper in the current mortgage market; or,
    8. All of the above. Read the rest of this entry »

    I came across a neat little widget that will turn any page into a capture page.  Check out the link on the right side or click on business opportunities at the top.

    The biggest problem when you have a web page is being able to capture information from visiting your website.  This neat little widget turns any page into a capture page.  It works great on Facebook Pages, Twitter Pages and more.

    The neat little thing is that you can become an affiliate with the company and earn income while at the same time capturing information from those who visit your sites

    As your business begins to grow, you may find yourself being stretched thinner on time and sleep.  I know that I did as my businesses began to grow and before to long I was down to 4-5 hours a sleep at night.  Projects weren’t getting done on time, clients weren’t happy and frankly my family wasn’t happy either, I spent all my time working.

    I then stumbled across the idea of Virtual Assistants, this interested me, need I say, BIG time.  I saw it as a way to free up some time and get back to growing my business and get out from behind the desk and a way to get my family life back in balance.   I have to admit though that I still spend way to much time behind the desk, I’m a hands on person and have a hard time giving up control.

    So if you haven’t consider a Virtual Assistant maybe now is the time.

    To find out more about Virtual Assistants check out Assistu.com.

    There are many Virtual Assistants out there but one I like to follow is Go2Girls at there blog

    I got a great little book today from a friend that I just met a couple of weeks ago. The book is titled “The Watermelon Sale, a story with heart”.  The author of the book is Kevin Allen.

    Kevin Allen is a master sales man, marketer and net-worker.  He is one of those who gets a call to evaluate a product, set up a marketing program, train the sales people, and set up the networking opportunity.  As a distinction he has specialized in network marketing for over 20 years.

    The lesson taught in this book we all know and have experienced.  The lesson is taught to us in the form of a story about a Scoutmaster and the boys he works with. The Scoutmaster in this story is a master salesman and he would tell the boys, “We are all salesman, no matter what we do or become, so let’s be as good at it as possible.”

    The watermelon sale involves giving the people a taste of the heart of the watermelon, the most succulent part of the melon and then telling them they can have the rest of the melon for a price.  The point is we must sell the heart of whatever it is he have, not the differences or the trinkets but the heart. If we sell the heart they will buy.

    The trick to often is find out what the heart is and sell it.
