Filed under: Books, Business Development, Networking, Opportunity, Personal Development, Sales, Street Smarts; Tagged as: Books, Gary Vaynerchuck, Opportunity1 CommentRecently, Saturday that was, I picked up a book called titled “Crush It”. It is a book that I’ve been wanting to to take a look at for sometime. I first came to my attention when it was mentioned by Real Estate speaker and motivator Tom Ferry.
Just a side note, Tom Ferry has some really good content, for everybody. You can Check him out here.
The book is written by Gary Vaynerchuck, don’t ask me how to pronounce it. Even though I’m speak multiple languages, I’m not fluent in Russian. The fact that I speak multiple languages is probably apparent it in my spelling and grammar, never been one of my strong points.
In the book he makes some very good points about being passionate at what you are doing and if you don’t have passion don’t do it. Read the rest of this entry »

Risk Takers – Future Is Yours
Filed under: Opportunity, Personal Development, Street Smarts; Tagged as: Opportunity, Personal DevelopmentNo CommentsThis morning I received an email from Brian Tracy and I quote from him, “The future belongs to the risk takers, not the security seekers. Life is perverse in the sense that the more you seek security, the less of it you have. But the more you seek opportunity, the more likely it is that you will achieve the security that you desire.”
This is so true, you look at the really successful people in this world like the Richard Branson, and they are risk takers. But in taking risk the don’t through caution to the wind, almost every move they make has been thought out and planned. That doesn’t mean that every they do is success, but it means they have taken precautions to protect what they have and if they fail, it is a learning experience and they go on.
Here is a great video to show you what I mean:
Salathe Wall from steph davis on Vimeo.
If you look Steph Davis is doing what only some people dream of doing, but she doesn’t through caution to the wide. She had the proper and necessary safe equipment and she has taken the time to learn. You as a business builder need to do the same.
